Governance

Our Organisation

Data Connect Australia is a non-incorporated entity supported by a series of agreements between our host organisation, The University of Western Australia and each participating organisation.

Data Connect Australia has an independent Board that monitors compliance with the requirements of University of Western Australia’s agreements with the Department of Education and Data Connect Australia Project Participants, oversees performance against key indicators, as well as risk management strategies to ensure Data Connect Australia is delivering against the investment and strategic plans. The Board also oversees Data Connect Australia’s annual budget, business plans and stakeholder engagement.

See Data Connect Australia Governance Framework for details.

Strategic Plan

Data Connect Australia’s (formerly the Population Health Research Network) Strategic Plan 2021-2030 was developed through an iterative process in which Data Connect Australia Board’s preliminary views around the vision, mission, roles and future direction were tested with Data Connect Australia opinion leaders, then progressively validated through broader stakeholder engagement.
